RAINMAKER TO EXPAND CHANNEL SERVICE CONTRACT SOLUTION US and Canada Partners Across All Product Lines |

Campbell, Calif. – May 16, 2007 – Rainmaker Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RMKR), a leading provider of sales and marketing solutions combining hosted application software and execution services, today announced that it will extend and significantly expand its contract with the global leader in security and infrastructure software to provide Web-based software subscription sales and channel support services for all its partners in North America, including Canada. Based on the successful pilot originally focused on the SMB segment, Rainmaker's program will now cover the entire Mid-Market across all of this Client's major product lines in its expanded scope of services designed to increase software subscription sales and automate the renewal process for the Client's partners and end customers. Rainmaker's comprehensive, technology-based solution includes a hosted channel partner portal allowing the Client's resellers to view their end-customer install base, manage support contracts, and generate real-time renewal quotes. Rainmaker's solution also includes a partner response center to support the Client's partner inquiries and integrated marketing services aimed at driving end customers to the appropriate channel partner. The expanded agreement also calls for Rainmaker to provide dedicated Service Sales Representatives to administer and provide sales support to both partners and end-customer "Because of the tremendous impact of our pilot engagement, our Client has requested that we deploy a significant rollout to a major segment of their business," said Michael Silton, Rainmaker's CEO.
