Alok Mohan, Non-Executive Chairman
As the former CEO of The Santa Cruz Operation,
Inc. (SCO), a global leader in UNIX server host
systems, Mr. Mohan brings a unique understanding
of software companies and their need for the
outsourced services that Rainmaker provides.
At SCO, Mr. Mohan was responsible for day-to-day
operations. Prior to joining SCO, he served
21 years at NCR in various positions, including
Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Controller
and General Manager of the billion-dollar Workstation
Products Division.
Robert Leff, Director
Robert Leff co-founded Merisel in 1980 and successfully
developed this venture into a multi-billion dollar,
multi-national computer products distributor.
Mr. Leff is now a strategic and financial consultant
to start-up and growth-stage companies in the
personal computer industry. In 1988, Computer
Reseller News named Mr. Leff one of the industry's
25 most-influential executives.
Mitchell Levy, Director
Mitchell Levy has served as a director of Rainmaker
Systems since 2004. He is the President and
CEO of ECnow.com, a strategic management-consulting
firm he founded in 1997, CEO of Happy About,
and a partner in CEOnetworking. Mr. Levy is
an author, consultant, educator, and evangelist
of strategic management. As president of ECnow.com,
he helps companies around the world change their
business processes to fully integrate the Internet
into how they conduct business. Mr. Levy is
the author of four books, including "E-Volve-or-Die.com"
and "Happy About Outsourcing" and
is a frequent public speaker on business trends.
Mr. Levy also serves as the Director of the
Silicon Valley Executive Business Program. Previously,
he was the conference chair at four Comdex conferences,
founded and operated the E-Commerce Management
Program at San Jose State University and spent
nine years at Sun Microsystems, the last four
of which he ran the E-Commerce component of
Sun's Supply Chain. Mr. Levy holds a BS degree
in Operations Research from the University of
Miami and an MBA from the College of William
and Mary.
Brad Peppard, Director
Mr. Peppard is a pioneer in direct, online,
and installed-base marketing of high technology
products. As president of Monogram Software,
Mr. Peppard built a successful direct sales
operation that was critical to the company's
successful turnaround. He was the founder of
SoftMail Corporation, the first direct marketing
agency specializing in installed-base marketing
for high-tech companies. Since then, Mr. Peppard
has held vice president of marketing positions
at Software Publishing, Quarterdeck, and Aladdin
Systems. Currently he serves on the board of
Curatorial Assistance and Health For Life as
well as the Stanford Business School Leadership
Council and the Stanford Business School Alumni
Association. Previously, he was also a board
member of Oppenheimer Industries and Aladdin
Systems. Mr. Peppard holds a BA from Amherst
College and an MBA from Stanford University.
Michael Silton, Chief Executive Officer,
Director
Michael Silton founded Rainmaker in 1991 and
has held the position of CEO since 1997. Prior
to Rainmaker, Mr. Silton led marketing at MAI,
a half billion dollar hardware manufacturer
with an extensive services organization. Before
that, he was COO of a private software company,
which was the leading provider of ERP solutions
to soft goods manufacturers. His early career
included various management roles at software
publishers and resellers.
